Blue Flag is an exclusive eco-label given to beaches and marinas having reached to a standard stated in the criteria. It is an international progrrame currently being implemented in 50 countries around the world including Europe, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Canada and Caribbean.
Blue Flag Programme is owned and run by the independent non-profit organisation Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). One national FEE member is responsible for the implementation of programme, which is TURCEV (Foundation for Environmental Education in Turkey) in Turkey.
